I'm 5'6" and 136 pounds.
i am a healthy weight, but I'd like to be 126 pounds (still healthy) because I still have a little excess fat that I want to gone.
Stay where you Are... I believe you are Going way too Far.
You are Shorter than Some guys, However 136 is the Trick for you. Don't Over do it or you Won't look a "Healthy Weight." One can be Too Thin.
I have been On and off the Weight Wagon, but Mainly have Maintained a Good Weight for years. I always Try and Watch what I Eat, I Do Occasionally Cheat, and then if I See that I am not At That Hot Spot I Crave to be, I go on a "Watch more Calorie Intake" Diet, and Don't Make Desserts nor Lard Part of my Daily Routine, that I Don't put Much of on my Table. I also Take a daily Vitamin for Energy and to Help "Fill in" with What I don't Always Eat every day.
I have the Cozy Convenience of a Gym in my Building, and along with Being an Avid walker for Years... I now can Tread as well, Ride the Bike that I also Like.

Don't focuss on weight but on muscle/fat ratio. Your present weight is ideal for your height regarding BMI. If your fat content is below 25%, you are a standard, healthy girl.
I understand this, but I still have some podge on my belly and hips, and in a few other places. I feel like the only way to get rid of these bits are to lose some more weight. Because if I start toning my body the podgy bits will probably still cover the toned parts?
How do you check your fat level? And I don't want to have a visible six pack or anything, I'm not really in to the muscley look. I just want to be more firm, and get rid of my excess weight. I don't like being squishy lol
i don't think you will stop losing but your metabolism will slow down making it harder to lose weight try looking into something called a refeed day to boost your metabolism
As long as you keep losing more calories than you are ingesting you will be losing weight.
