What's a good way to motivate yourself to lose weight?

TimePhantom
I've been right around 200 pounds for my entire adult life, and I'd like to try and lose some weight. I just can't ever seem to motivate myself to eat healthy. I just love the taste of food, and no matter how much I eat I am usually still right around 200. Today for example I had a bowl of cinnamon toast crunch for breakfast, In-N-Out burger for lunch, a burrito from Chipotle for dinner, and then almost an entire pint of ice cream. And this is a pretty average day for me. I obviously know these foods are unhealthy, and I know what I need to do, I just can't seem to do it. It's also hard having friends who eat almost as unhealthy as I do. Anyone got any tips? I was also thinking of trying to find a weight loss buddy so we could sorta motivate each other. Anyone interested?

I have self motivation, it's just not that strong. Obviously I want to lose some weight, but I don't look that overweight now and it's really easy to lose interest. Sometimes I'll get really self motivated and then drop my plan in a week.

I also do a decent amount of physical activity. I play basketball at least twice a week for a couple hours, I play drums, and I run maybe once I week. I know it could be more, but it's not like I'm just sitting on my ass all day.

Here's the other problem with the self motivation is that I don't look very overweight. I have a lot of muscle so it just looks like I'm kinda bulky. Also I feel very healthy, and am able to do any sort of physical activity I want.

I don't get why everyone is hating on the cinnamon toast crunch, it's not that bad. Compare it to a lot of other cereals and it is actually about even in terms of nutrition. But I will admit it has a lot of sugar.

Seriously I don't know why out of everything people are picking on the Cinnamon Toast Crunch. link
