My motivation was that I didn't want too many days to go by and I lose all motivation, if that makes sense lol. So Monday I got my butt up and worked out. I dislike gyms, so I workout from home, so it's a tad easier. But I do my workouts at my sister's instead of my house. I find that actually having to get up and go out to some other place to do it motivates me to get it done. If I do it at home, I'll procrastinate.
But I say, the more you put it off, the more it'll be easier to put off. You just have to get up and go! And then keep going. And you'll be back on track!

That's very normal. Canadian Thanksgiving was way back in mid October but I've been taking 1-2 weeks off from the gym throughout this sem. Hardcore workouts 1-2 days in a row, a week or two off due to school/work obligations. Rinse & repeat.
In other words, I can relate to how you probably feel. Just try to view that as motivation to go more often now that turkey day or whatever has passed, to regain your title of a regular gym rat. :P
You don't get motivated. You just do it.
Working out when you don't feel like it is more important than the times you feel motivated. It helps, by finding a way to make it enjoyable so that it's just a part of your life. Working out shouldn't feel like a chore.
It should be something you just do such as showering. You don't get motivated to take a shower. It's just something you do.

Just go already. Everybody has a time out but you shouldn't push it out any longer, especially with Christmas approaching. Think about your body and the progress you made as well as the progress you'll loose by not going.
Hey! Your going to gym for your body not for anyone else body. It will only benefit you. If you goint to gym to show off someone than please leave that it will not work for you. Gym is a part of our life it only improves your performance in every field and if you can't spare.1 hr from your daily life then you dont have right to do gym instead use that one houre in your own activites

Step 2- drive to gym
Step 3- workout
Step 4- repeat

Just have some self-discipline push yourself get up and just go, the more you go the easier it gets and the better you look
it's normal although myself i hadn't been to the gym in a while usually the holidays is something that gets us out of fitness routine. as we are always busy when the holidays come and since many of us who would go an average 7 days a week it gets hard to get back into routine it gets pretty difficult to get back into routine such as going back to work and gym.
That's totally normal. Just get back into it, these things happen. Besides, your body recovers and grows outside of the gym. You'll be able to work out even harder now that you've rested.
Not for me. I worked out on Thanksgiving and the day after.
Get really pissed off and pumped up and just do it. Listen to some workout music and get in the mood.

How do i get motivated? Easy. I never stop working out, even during holidays. Body weight workouts can be done virtually everywhere.
Go look at some clothes you can't fit into. Or in my case see fat on my sides from to much couch ;)
Just take all your clothes off and stand in front of a mirror. ... nuff said
