I used to have anxiety attacks and panic attacks.
Tips on how to cope in the moment:
1. Breathe. This may sound dumb or straightforward, but this is what your brain depends on. Just keep breathing. Breathe AF.
2. Breathe in and out into a paper bag.
3. Wash your face with cold asf water or even take a cold shower. It WILL obliterate the panic.
Tips for long term maintenance:
1. Keep a healthy diet (no junk food). Drink plenty of water. Physical health is essential in dealing with stress.
2. Exercise at least 15 minutes a day. This is one of the most natural ways to alleviate stress.
3. Pray/meditate/ do something spiritual.
4. Instead of just thinking of all the problems and letting them pile up in you until you break down, get to work. Just forget everything and stsrt getting your work done. It's the only way and progress. Just do it.
5. Stop dwelling on things you can't control, just leave it because all its gonna do is just wear your mind out. It's tough in the beginning, but you gradually learn how to 'disconnect', almost like blocking a route in your mind where all the thoughts will come through till they trigger a panic attack.
6. The main thing is, YOU have to control your mind and situation. Don't let the situation CONTROL YOU.

It's not the same but I have a fear of heights. So anxiety issues.
It's better when I have weed. But there's actually a method to lower your heartbeat quickly.
Take in a deep breath for 4 seconds slowly but fully. Then exhale in 2 seconds. Repeat for as long as required. Will see effects if done for 30 seconds min with results in a min.
It works because I do it and a psychologist taught me it to help me. Actually works
I have my whole life actually, and there's a number of things that I do.
First and foremost, and mind you, this is ME and this might not work for everyone: I hold my breath for 5 seconds, count slow. After five seconds I'll slowly inhale, and hold it for another 5 seconds. Then I'll release it slowly and repeat. This helps regulate my heart and it prevents me from hyperventilating and going into hysteria.
If there's no avoiding it the first thing I do is sit down, knees up to my chest with hands on either side of my head. This is because the defensive position feels most comfortable for me and because I have fainted before, so being on the ground can prevent injury. From there I repeat my usual mantra: "I am okay, I am going to survive. This situation cannot hurt me. It will end and I will be fine after."
If I can get home, from there I shut myself in, put on light hearted shows or movies and just let myself come down from the stress.
Gotten them a few times. My psychiatrist recommended me to try to get my breathing to slow down when I get my panic attacks so I don't start panicking even more and get hyperventilation. He also told me to keep telling myself "everything will be fine." even if I don't feel that way at the moment.
Found this helpful gif on tumblr which calms me when I start to feel incredibly stressed out.

I think you should see a therapist/psychologist, they can help you learn coping things or it'll get worse. I can't really deal with them, I usually have to leave the situation, or my brain does it for me. I dissociate from the situations a lot it's a form of dealing with it, or my Service Dog will remove me from the situation when he knows I am not feeling well.
9 block of classe (if i remember correctly) and like two jobs, one with stick to clique feminist, I don't know how you've lasted this long 😮.
Sorry you're stressed Ale :( and no I deal with stress pretty good, so I've never had a panic attack.
Hope it gets easier as the holidays come inMy Sister has Had these for Years, but is Under the Care of a Professional, who, with Guidance, also gives Her the Right Medication to Control them.
It's an Awful Feeling of Reeling and Dealing with them, where at Times, she Feels as though she is Dying.
Get some Help before you Find it Harder to Cope, @Autumn-Bunny, it's not Funny. And Yes, Stress will Bring them on, but with Help, it's Easier to Deal with the Feel. xxThree years ago, i had panic attacks for over 6 six months, arising from a trip to ER. Anything that surrounded the events leading to ER would trigger my attacks. Especially going on public transit.
Initially, I read WebMD. But all that did was make me more anxious. So do NOT read WebMD or similar sites, lol. Yoga surprisingly helped me a lot. Thinking logically, about what I was going through helped too.I have suffered lmao. I've been on anxiety meds for a year, though, so it hasn't happened in a while. When I was off the Valium, I resorted to escapism which only makes it worse when I finally pull myself from thinking about fictional characters lmao. I would also find the root of what was causing the anxiety (if there was one) and thought of a plan to break it down into manageable bits and dealt with it that way

best advice, this cured my panic attacks.
I never suffered from panic attacks. If you try to care less, they will go away and you can get more work done. s-media-cache-ak0.pinimg.com/.../...60025c3690.jpg
I get those from time to time. I started to dedicate time to working out and doing breathing exercises from time to time. For example I could be doing dishes and I start having negative thoughts or remember stuff I just start to breath deeply or I listen to calming music
I used to have them before I was put onto my meds and I had them when I came off of the meds. Haven't had one for a while so fingers crossed that it works, I guess.
I have the before I go to bed and start thinking of all my responsibilities, mistakes and future
I've suffered many years from panic attacks, I've always taught people to
do deep breathing exercises while counting to 6 than count to 6 letting out
my breath out. Also you can try taking a walk that helps me to.I had a panic attack in 10th grade over a history midterm 😂😂 lmao yes, I have them all the time.
I have been getting panic attacks a lot recently and usually for me it's due to stress and heat so I like to go outside by myself to cool off.
So I'm not a hundred percent sure of this but apparently you should count numbers that are ordered wrong is: 1;2;9;5;11
The human brain can't cope with panicking and could tung wrong :-|You cannot deal with panic attack on your own. The best way is to consult an Expert. Without expert advice your condition will get worse and consequences could turn out to be more grave later on.
i suffer from panic attacks. meditation helps - try headspace ! it really helps!
I've never had them. I'm sorry to hear that you're struggling with this. Best of luck to you.
I have unfortunately. I just close my eyes, slowly breath in and out, and countdown from 10.
i hear taking a paper bag and breathing in and out of it helps.
