Does running make your legs skinner or bigger?

i absolutely hate the size of my legs and want them to be smaller. so i was wondering, if i run for an hour every day for a week, would i notice anything? or would it be longer than a week where i'd notice change in my legs? i don't have a problem running for an hour or more for longer than a week, I'm just wondering. yes i know that in order to lose weight, you need to burn more calories than you consume.

please also don't tell me "accept your body for how it is" , "weight doesn't matter" , and so on because trust me, if you seen my legs and how big they are, you'd tell me to start running immediately.

also, i don't want my legs to get bigger/bulkier, i want them to get smaller/thinner.
