Wisdom teeth?

So my wisdom teeth are coming in now, I'm 16. I know that usually its between the ages of 18-24 and I guess that makes me early? I don't know whatever. I'm getting all of them unfortunately. So how do I know if there impacted or not? And how do I know if I have enough room for them?

My mom says there's no reason to go to the dentist because their not going to be able to do anything so no dentist to answer my question ):

They would not be coming in if they were impacted. Impacted means under your gums and bone still. As for if you have enough room you will just have to wait and see. If they come all the way in you have enough room if they sort of sit in your mouth half under the gum (usually tilted somewhat) you don't have room for them. I am not sure why you mom thinks the dentist is not going to be able to do anything that makes no sense. If you have no room they will take them out or refer you to someone who will take them out. If they are coming in straight they can tell you that too. One of the biggest things that causes pain with wisdom teeth coming in is the loose gum that is around the tooth, food gets packed in there and causes really bad infections so take extra care to brush them very well. And 16 is not young to be getting wisdom teeth I have seen kids as young as 12 or 13 have them.

If discomfort occurs,excruciating pain,then it may be time to go to the oral surgeon.

You will know though.Mine are starting to bother me,they make my gums kind of hurt.

So the pains come and go but they get really bad when I have them and when I don't its my jaw that's hurting, like just around where my wisdom teeth are. Is that anything really bad?

It's normal for pain.The only thing I felt,was the need to teeth.I wanted something kind of hard to grind my gums against.I'ts normal.Unless you've been told you will need them removed,then you shouldn't worry.

Impacted means that they haven't broken through the skin at all or that they've just broken through a little and have stopped.

As for if there's enough "room"... it basically depends on comfort (any pain/pressure then probably need them taken out). Also if you're teeth start visibly shifting/turning sideways then they should be taken out, because your teeth will just continue to shift and turn.
