Is my love for sports intimidating?

I am usually a girly girl until it comes to sports. I play soccer and lacrosse. I'm obsessed with the Yankees and the chicago blackhawks. I LOVE to talk to people about sports. But I feel like it pushes guys away sometimes. They always tend to go for my friends who don't know anything about sports. So I'm wondering, is my knowledge and love for sports intimidating?

Sometimes guys really just want girls to be just that- "girls". That's what attracts guys typically. They like that girls interests are (usually) different than theirs. So I could see where your liking sports just as much as they do may put you at a disadvantage because the might begin to look at you as one of the guys.

Now don't get me wrong because I'm sure there are girls that appreciate sports that have boyfriends, but that's all I can think of as being the reason.

I would suggest you try being a bit more girly, but I don't feel you should have to, but in any case, good luck!

I've never met a guy who doesn't seem to like that I like sports. I have met guys that are surprised that I like sports and can actually carry on a conversation without talking about how hot one of the players are. One of the guys I worked with this summer was the only thing he would change about his girlfriend would be to make her like sports so that way he could take her to a Phillies game or watch one on TV without having to listen to her complain about how boring it was.

I wouldn't think so. I'm not much of a sports fan at all with the exception of MMA. I'm always curious about girls and sports though. Your participation in lacrosse is especially appealing.

I think its frickin fantastic. I wouldn't really find it intimidating, unless you could physically pulverise me. I've been dying to find a chick that WANTS to talk about sport!

Some guys aren't into it, but I am. If a girl could hold a conversation about sports that would be great! But I don't want a tomboy and as Girlfriend that's a different story.

Im def not a tomboy haha, just like sports. trust me, I dress like a girl. I like dresses and skirts and skinny jeans

Pshh they are just jealous. like I know especially the twos guys I hang out with get mad because I can go on and on about hockey, different players, plays, other games. and they get all mad and when I ask them why they are mad they get all defensive I'm like okokok woahhhh calm down, ahah

A lot of guys will lke it, but of ourse some won't. I think if you choose the guys who like sports, they should love it and really like you. Remember though guys will always like to see the "girl" in you. You can't make it all about sports.
