Okay I have a HUGE question about football

okay well I was watching cheaper by the dozen [pretty good movie, old but good] and well the dads a football coach and it got me thinking who pays the football coaches? The goverment? Who? and also who pays the football players?

Haha in that movie isn't he a college football coach? I'm pretty sure the college pays the coaches and the players don't get paid. I'm not sure about pro sports so I could be wrong but I think the owner of the team pays them. Like Reggie Bush for example gets paid by the Saints, the actual team. I'm not 100% sure but I know the government definitely has no part in it. Lmao

If they are a college coach then the college pays them. College players don't get paid to play football. Instead they get scholarships that allow them to go to school for free. Professional football coaches and professional player get paid by the owner of the team

Yes. There is someone who is usually a very very rich businessman who pays hundreds of millions of dollars every year to fund the team. They pay for everything the team needs. Now these guys make money from ticket sales, concessions at the game and merchandise of the team that people buy(jerseys,hats,shirts)

Well not technically owned. The owner only owns the franchise (Bears,Packers). They don't literally own the players. Think of it like any other job. The owner is the boss and the players are the workers

okay well now I have another question. so if some wanted to make up a new team and had the money and everything how would they get their team to play against others?

Well first you would have to talk to the NFL and find a city that would like to have a new team. Once all that is worked out then the commissioner of the league would put you in a division based on where you are in the country. From there a schedule would be made up that would tell you who to play
