As well as I know like all others sometimes I pig out on food, but I am cutting out junk food and all too. Does anyone have any helpful hints into picking right foods when you really want those potato chips?
Thank you guys and have a great day too!
the newest studies are showing that exercise has greater impact than dieting, but I would recommend instead of cutting out potato chips, I would recommend portion control , eat the potato chips , but don't chow down through the whole bag in one sitting, carbs like red meat and bread can be eaten without sacrificing flavor can be eaten to lose the fat and gain muscle weight if done so with the idea of portion control in mind as well
as far as working out goes, I've found you get the best workout when you have a buddy there with you , working out or just hanging out with you while you work out to keep you accountable, I'm not familiar with p90x but have heard great reviews , but if your going to the gym or whatever its prob best to bring along a friend, or hey depending on the type of gym just ask a trainer there on break to work out with u, prob be happy to do so for free
another thing to keep in mind would be having a very very specific goal in mind , instead of saying you want the beach body for summer, visualize what that body looks like, when playing over this goal in your mind , especially when you are working out think not only of your goal of the body, but maybe what that body represents to u, maybe that body means impressing your friends or impressing girls, maybe even a girl particular, being as specific as possible helps keep you motivated in reaching this goal
not a licensed nutrionist or physical trainer or anything just thought I would put my two cents in :)
-find a partner that can hold you accountable for your training
-make LIFESTYLE changes, not temporary diets
-mens health has a book called 'eat this not that ' ...great for some one looking to make small LIFESTYLE changes.
adapting a workout/diet all at once can be hard, and hard to stick with for a long period.
-you want your potato chips? have a few...just keep it at a moderation.
- once you start seeing results, and hearing the complements come in...its hard to stop
Yeah, that's the story of my life. I start a great work out plan, but stop for some reason, & never do them again. If you find out how to stay motivated, please let me know...
