Does the trick to buy a smaller sized clothing piece and hang it up on the mirror for motivation really work? (I read a few articles about it)
What are other ways to stay motivated?
Learn to meditate. It will help to center your thinking and slow down your impulses. If you go vegan, you will lose 10 to 15 pounds in a short time after you begin. Get plenty of sleep. Eat a healthy diet and try food with lots of garlic and red pepper, which inhibit the appetite. Do aversion therapy by wearing a rubber band around your wrist, and whenever feel a hunger pang snap the rubber band to hurt a bit. Never drink alcohol. Use pot if you have it (no you won't get munchies). Avoid hanging around other overweight people. Avoid stress. Do little things, perhaps like reading a book or other small accomplishment, to make you feel okay about yourself. Give yourself plenty of time to lose it, it won't happen overnight, so you might be looking at 2 years or so, depending on your weight now.
Even though the experts say that exercise does not help so much with weight loss, it does something to diminish the appetite, and even if you exercise out 200 calories a day that marginal amount could keep you under the 1500 to 1800 calories daily you must have for weight loss.
Your self esteem will increase as your weight decreases. Your weight loss will snowball and you will have to guard against bulemia and other adverse health effects. Weight loss will follow if you focus first on good general health. You can can inspire yourself by reading testimonials from those very many who have succeeded in losing a gread deal of weight.
Great advice - thank you :)
yes. buy something that you really like and make it your goal to fit into it. I would also recommend getting a friend in to help you. Sometimes having some support or someone to say "get up and work out" can be really helpful. Also you can find a few friends and make a bet to see who can get to their goal by a certain time. There are plenty of ways to stay motivated while losing weight, try looking online.
Eating healthy and working out will really help you lose weight and keep the pounds off. Try cooking healthy food (that you will actually eat and like). By having a new hobby, this will help keep you from eating all the time. Also get rid of any sugary, salty, and processed food in your house. Yes these things are good in moderation, but while you're just starting out i would definitely get rid of the temptations.
And after you've lost the weight keep eating healthy and exercising. While embarking on this adventure try not to keep weighing yourself repeatedly (btw the best time to weigh yourself is in the morning after you have gone to the bathroom). if you have any questions please feel free to message me anytime!

Yes it's always good to have a goal that you can work towards :) I'm currently trying to lose some weight, as at the end of the year I'm going on holiday to America (which has been my dream since I was a little girl) and all I do is think of America when I want to go on a binge. Also it has helped me to count the calories that I am eating, however not to get to stressed by it, I just try to keep them down, if I go over, no biggie I'll just try better tomorrow, also I allow myself extra calories if I go out with friends, but I eat the more healthier options (like sushi)
Yes it does work. I had these pair of shorts that I could barely fit and after I lost the weight I could fit it perfectly and a lot of my clothes actually became really big on me.
