Question about braces?

so my dentist decided I need braces last night... I was wondering what to expect when I get them on and what I can and cannot eat.

I had them for about 7 years so I'm kind of a pro lol. The first few days your teeth will be really sore so you're probably not going to have much of an appetite and if you do it, it will mostly be soft stuff. After a few days though, they'll stop hurting and you'll get used to them and forget they are even there. They will tell you to stay away from certain foods and stuff like gum but I never listened to them and never had any problems.

You probably want to stick to soft food for one day, perhaps two, but after that you can pretty much eat whatever you want without any problems. It'll feel awkward for a while and the first two nights I had my braces I had trouble falling asleep because they felt odd, but after a while you get used to them and barely even realize they're there.

THEY SUCK.. I had them for four years. id always break the brackets and one time a rubber band popped off and hit some kid in the face, and my mouth was always sore, and it sucked to eat, exentually you get use to it but it sucks.

I had then for 4 1/2 years and I ate everything that I wasn't supposed to lol, but please dnt follow my example :)

Pain, hahaha. I hear they're painful as hell. I don't know what else. Expect wanna-be peadophiles with a fetish for girls in braces, expect people saying 'You have braces? What's it like? I need braces.' or 'I never needed braces.', or something. Expect regular tightenings, expect them to say 'Oh, you'll have to keep them on for another year, sorry.'. Expect sh*t jokes, expect jokes to make you laugh at first, but get old.

I don't know about foods though.
