Scoliosis brace - turn off?

OK , a brace (Like a corset, but hard white plastic, you can google it ''scoliosis brace'') is worn by mostly girls with back problems. The spine is twisted, and is trying to take a ''S''-shape. So the brace helps to straighten up the spine. The question is, guys... this is a extreme turn off, isn't it? I've had mine for three years and since then I haven't had a boyfriend/hook-up,

I have scoliosis too. I’ve been wearing my brace for over 2 years and my doctor said that since I’m not growing anymore, I can take off my brace and come back in 6 months to see if it got worst. I’m going to my appointment on Tuesday. The two years that I wore a brace was hard but worth it. I told my friends and sometimes, I get freaked out when people touch me at school because I have a brace on. It doesn’t matter what people say about you and your brace. It’s not a turn-off for guys because the ones who actually care about you will like you even if you had a crooked spine. If guys don’t like you because you have scoliosis, they’re not worth it.

Well, it's not a 'turn-on', but it's also not really a 'turn-off'. Plus, from looking at your picture you're very attractive, which helps.

Back when I was younger, my doctor said I may have had to wear a brace for scoliosis, as well I dreaded it being in high-school, but it never happened.

If you need to wear one, you HONESTLY shouldn't worry about. Do what's best for your health.

By what I can make out in your picture you seem to be a very pretty girl. I wouldn't worry about the brace. There was a question about women in wheelchairs earlier, and guys didn't seem to mind that. I think the reason you haven't had a boyfriend has more to to with your confidence.

to some it might be.. I have mild scoliosis but it's not bad enough to need a brace. The thing that's most noticeable is that my back muscles are somewhat uneven to compensate but it's not a big deal.

I wore a scoliosis brace in middle school, and I may as well have been a leper.

That was also middle school, though. You can't really compare the actions of adults to those of 11-12 year olds.

i dont mind that at all... considering i wore a back back for about six months straight.
