I have to go in for surgery and I'm just wondering if you have any advice for me?

so this is sort of a rant inside of a ?. but I have to go in for surgery on my mouth. its to fix my gums as I have an infection because well..i have a TERRIBLE history with my teeth and gums. I had 15 teeth pulled when I was like 5 or 6 I had spacers/braces/retainers for about 10 years and I just have had a bad history of trying to keep my mouth clean. so now I have an infection in my gums. I'm gonna have to go in again.

I'm extremely scared of not only what they'll tell me I have but also what I will have to possibly go through as I'm terrified of surgery (after all my first surgeries were at the age of 5 or 6).

so I'm just wondering if you have any tips for like trying to get over my fear or w/e. the procedure, if not done right could send me into septic shock so that freaks me out too

oh I'm so sorry to hear. but stress out. don't worry. my mom done some surgery about a year ago. they would give you pills to make it numb or even make you sleep(maybe you can ask them). you need to take pills after that also to prevent you from pain. I am sure they would tell you all of these and you won't have any problem.

you can ask your family to be with you in that day. also you can bring your ipod or anything to listen to your fav. song while they are working on you it would distract you. think about nice things. persons you like. what you are going to do, anddd set a prize for yourself after that ( I know it sounds childish, but it may motivate you pass all of these as soon as possible).
