Are LED lights bad for your eyes?

This reminds me of when my older sister used a black light 💡 bulb in the early 2000s for her room. It got on our nerves, especially my mom. Every time my little sister and I needed something, it was hard to find something in that room. That sometimes my mom would bump herself in the drawers to put away the laundry. Till finally she changed it.
Another time about 4 years ago, my dad visits my mom and us his children. He decides to buy Eco friendly LED light 💡 bulbs to change around the duplex to save money. Now, we had the typical yellow light bulbs. But once he went to Home Depot, he bought 14 lights of the wrong color. It was SUPER BRIGHT like flashlight everywhere. I could not turn on a light without covering my eyes. I was telling him to at least exchange the color since this one was hurting me. Which he did thank god.
It looks like this picture
I like the soft white color, he purchased the Day Light that hurts my eyes.
Now, looking at your picture is the room dimmed like that or is the blue light really bright?
If i were you i will only use lamp for sleep. i think that's better
They're not bad unless you're shining them in your eyes. It also depends on the intensity of the LEDs. You can get LEDs with low luminosity outputs that you can stare into without fear, while others would blind you if you were in the same room without eye protection. If your room is dimly lit and you try to read or do something that requires focus it could be strenuous on the eyes so that could be what your family is talking about, but LEDs aren't necessarily dangerous.
This is an interesting read. www.jameco.com/.../light-brightness-intensity.html
Thanks ill check it out
LED's are fine as long as you have another source of light that is not the same color of the LED.
If you only have the LED lights on for the only light source, then this can easily cause Eye strain, and it would make you very tired.
I've noticed I do get really tired when their the only light source but im worried about potential damage/problems later on
LED's can go up to the energy of a Sun when changing colors and transferring light to your room. Because of this, there can be many radiation eye spikes (eye strain). So be careful, if you notice a lot of tiredness then normal, you need to turn your LED's off for a day or two, and use a lamp that covers the entire room. You will be fine after a few days, and then resort to using the LED's only for 3 hours. Then use your lamp for another hour, after that you can turn your LED's on for another 3 hours.
But if you wan't to prevent tiredness and eye strain securely and safely, then make sure you leave a Lamp on when using the LED's

LED lights are generally safe for the eyes when used properly, but excessive or improper exposure can lead to some discomfort. Many LED lights, especially those with a cool or bluish tint, emit a high amount of blue light, which may cause eye strain, dryness, or headaches if viewed for long periods—especially at night. This is more common with digital screens or very bright LED bulbs. Poor-quality LEDs that flicker can also contribute to eye fatigue. However, high-quality LED lights with warm tones and proper brightness levels are not harmful. To protect your eyes, it's important to take regular breaks, reduce screen time before bed, and choose lighting that is easy on the eyes.

I dont think so... as LED lamps came up i was a early adopter. I only want cold light arround me, an before LED was a thing i used neon-tubes
i never felt any bad experience from that.
I don't know about being bad for your eyes, but you can put your face as close as you want to any TV and it won't damage your eyes over time.
I'm not a fan of LED's. I would do the same thing, but I would use incandescent lights.
LEDs are not bad for eyes but if the light in your room is too dim it will make you tired - so more light (whether LED or not) is needed.
Maybe Better.. Not so Bright-Light. xx
Omg that is so cool, keep them!!!
