After losing weight, will his opinion change?

So I've recently lose 60 pounds, so I look completely different and at a height of 5'1 I'm 120-125 pounds. I was wondering if a guys opinion of a girl will change? I deff didn't lose the weight for a guy by any means, I did it for myself. So I'm just wondering if to a guy I would go from being a friend to date material (If my being over weight was the only issue, I wasn't just chubby I was overweight). I don't fault any guys for not liking me when I was overweight, I didn't even like myself so I couldn't expect anyone else to either. Thanks! :)

Yes, it's definitely common for women to feel a boost of confidence after losing a lot of weight. Of course your self-image will change as will the type of man you attract.

If your friend told you that your weight was the only issue, then I think it's mature you don't blame him. He'd probably be open to a dating you if that's what he told you and you worked to become fit. Of course physical attraction is important in a relationship and it's not uncommon for a man to be turned off by excessive weight.

Sounds like you have a realistic attitude and I don't see why he wouldn't date you. Congratulations on the weight loss, you're a perfect weight now for your height.

I had come close to telling him I liked him, before I lost the weight. But I needed to work on myself before I leaped into that. I wanted to like me before attempting to like someone else. Yeah I see no reason to blame guys for their opinions! :) So now that my confidence is through the roof ha ha and I haven't seen him in months. So last time he saw me I was like 180 pounds! I'll finally tell him how I feel! And if he doesn't like me like that, at least the new me has the confidence to move on!

Why not just invite him out to coffee or something, rather than tell him? Surprise him when you meet him, it would be worth it to see the look on his face. And then go from there?

Absolutely. I know a girl that was overweight and I wasn't into her, but she had a cute face. Recently she lost all that weight and even became a little bit thin and she got super hot.

It's amazing what some new confidence and just looking healthier can do! Obviously I lost the weight to wear cute clothes and what not, but just being healthy is a huge deal. I'm glad I didn't get to the point where I was sick or couldn't workout. :) Thanks for the input!

Not necessarily. I'm 5'1 ha ha not a beautiful plus size model. The weight also reflected my view of myself. I didn't care, obviously I gained a lot of weight. A big part of a relationship is physical attraction, and I can't fault someone because of their preferences. And like I said. I did it for myself to wear clothes, to actually enjoy summer at the beach. :)
