I am usually somebody that does not believe in these kind of procedures and that diet and exercise will make you lose weight. I guess in your case you should give it a try.
I think you should talk to people who have had the surgery and see what they think. I have a friend who had surgery and is on all kinds of supplements and vitamins now. She does not get enough nourishment from eating any more.
I regretted it so much just on the basis of how hard prep and recovery was, all the side effects, and in the end, I gained back ALL the weight which is very painful after having the surgery. I recommend if you can make that kind of commitment then pursue a course of counseling, dietitian visits, and coaching.
Weight loss surgery is not magic. All a gastric band or sleeve gastrectomy does is reduce the volume of your stomach, so you can't eat as much and you feel full sooner. There's no difference between eating less because you had surgery and physically can't eat as much any more, and eating less simply because you choose to eat less. Calories-in / calories-out is not BS either - there's simply no mechanism by which the human body can convert water and air into fat.
A woman in my office had this done. A couple of things to be aware of are you have to keep the weight off afterwards (your stomach will expand again) and your skin will look like a stretched out, deflated balloon afterwards.
I don't think it's necessary. You need to kick your bad relationship with food, first, and try to lose weight that way. Otherwise, you will gain the weight back after surgery.
I hate when people do this sh*t. All they do is assume everyone who is overweight is a gluttonous slob and weight loss is as simple as just starving yourself daily (CiCo), when in reality, it's not even remotely close to that simple. It honestly pisses me off, because it invalidates everything I've tried to do my entire adult life and reduces it down to someone just saying "You're a gluttonous pig." That on top of what you're implying just being incorrect.
No, CICO is an unalterable law of reality. If you're trying to tell me that CICO is wrong, full stop, because you will get absolutely nowhere with that approach. You would legitimately be better off trying to persuade me of a flat earth, and I say with that complete earnestness.
It’s way better for you to lose the weight naturally, even tho it might years and months, it’s always healthier especially fire your body, but who is to stop you if you desperately want to lose it
You know you're kind of like out there it's 5 doctors you have to go and see five you understand me is easier to get a machine gun license under this Administration then it is to get bariatric surgery
Exactly , fasting and reefed is the best he can lose all that weight in a month.. and not even have lose skin, . Dr r scaring him losing weight takes time etc bc it’s a slow process etc that’s why people think it’s hard. But losing weigh it’s so easy . Since Op has done diets before but can’t lose weight it’s clear he can’t lose any weight due to insulin resistance. To regulate that he needs fasting asap. What’s funny is that even if he decides to do the surgery he will be asked from dr to fast prior the surgery. He can research about it fasting is the best and dr recommend it too those who care ofc. There is a google engine out there I hope let’s hope he researches about it

Calories-in, calories-out is fucking bullshit from armchair nutritionists and I'm sick of hearing it.

What’s your daily diet plan like for one week? one month?
Liquid diet and protein shakes.

I'm getting one this October coming up.
hopefully they let me choose the sleeve cause I dont trust the other two
Make that decision in consultation with your doctor.

You certainly don’t look fat to me in your picture I’d recommend just do cardio 5 to 6 days a week and clean up your diet
Usually, I don’t advice surgery. But if that’s what you want, go for it
You will never digest food efficiently ever again. Id say work with a doctor to lose the weight. Insurance might not pay for it
Never go under the knife unless absolutely necessary. This is stupid and unnecessarily risky.
No.. its not worth it.. take the other alternatives
I lost 20 kgs in 3 months just by diet and yoga...
Take whatever physical exercise u find enjoyable and follow a good diet plan..
Try yoga cleansing techniques if its available in ur country.. its harmless and effective
@Mcheetah u haven't got right guidance yet.. doctors will always push u towards surgery for money.. believe me alternative techniques do work
I am on diet. I just eat less. It works
Cost a lot of money
just water fast
