well, at first it is kinda of surreal. I remember going and looking at myself in the mirror constantly trying to imagine what I was about to look like all pregged out. I mean not much really changed for me. I never smoked hardly drank. The neatest thing was suddenly no more periods and really for the first few months nothing really changes body wise and you can alllllmost forget that you are pregnant. Then all the sudden your body starts letting you know " hey girl your growing another person in here now" suddenly things start growing and changing the weight gains and the mood swings and the food cravings. Then it starts moving. and it is like "OMG I really do having something living inside of me !!!" then your body suddenly is not yours anymore... I swear to god I got absolutely explosively irritated every single time a random middle age or old lady would ask to feel my stomach... I mean god, even my sisters my sister in law my girl friends every one wanted to be petting my belly. I at first didn't want to know the gender because I kind of wanted it to be a surprise but at one of our ultra sounds my husband was like " Is that his penis? " and the tech goes "lol, nooooo... that is his penis"... which was weird and I don't know why but it was weird to me for weeks knowing that I literally had a boy growing inside my body. as it drags on and everything swells up, my breasts had been leaking for a few months prior so I was already tired of that. you are practically begging for your water to break and then it does and suddenly you are a mom and none of that last 40 or so weeks even matters anymore. when I had him in my arms I realized instantly I would do it all over again :)
What is it like being pregnant? There is no one way to describe it. It’s frightening and exhilarating in equal measure. I liked being pregnant between four and seven months. For the first 14 weeks, I felt ill the whole time. I wasn’t horrendously sick, but I felt sick all the time and I was dizzy a lot. What I liked the most was the feeling of bonding with her…. I would rub my stomach and she would push her back against my hand because she liked it, and she would kick hard when I talked to her or played certain songs …. little things like when she had hiccups…. It’s a very unique feeling and it’s just special. What I hated was how uncomfortable it can be. It’s really painful sometimes, and there were times when she was lying in certain positions where I could hardly breathe & it’s almost impossible to get a proper night’s sleep past 30 weeks because it’s difficult to either get into, or stay in a comfortable position…. babies move a lot. By 30 weeks, I’d had enough. At 37 weeks, I popped.
Wonderful knowing I'm creating life. I was blessed with a smooth pregnancy. Bad part - Back and rib pain and difficulty breathing by the end of my pregnancy and an asshole partner that had no sympathy, didn't even help with chores. But other than that, between me and my baby, it was good.
It's wonderful. Amazing and a joy to be pregnant. Lol funny too when you realize some things you juuust can't do like a normal person anymore. Tough with they trying to sleep when your belly gets big. It's beautiful.
