"Hyperfixation is the experience of focusing attention on one area of interest to the exclusion of everything else for an extended period of time (hours/days/weeks/months)."
What do you hyperfixate/hyperfocus on? (Games, books, organizing, art, meals, etc).
I just picked up my meds and it inspired me to ask this. I hyperfixate on multiple things a day. My current hyperfixations are making chicken dinners, playing Call of Duty, listening to my old metal playlists, and collecting anything frog related. Weird mix… I know.
Growing up, and still now… I catch myself hyperfixating on something and completely losing interest the next couple of weeks, after I bought all the supplies for it… It’s frustrating because I just want at least TWO consistent hobbies instead of them changing biweekly. And I just want to focus on school and work without constantly wanting to stimulate my brain with these hyperfixations. Ugh.
