Anyone having trouble with acne scars?

i have a bad habit of picking at pimples, and over time it's left red marks on my face. I don't want them to turn into holes (like dane cook has on his face) I'm scared that it might happen. I can barley notice them when I have makeup on, and I wash my face everynight. if any of you out there have or had the same problem with scars, how did you treat it?

I have really bad skin too, tons of acne scars. I've always had acne since I was about 13 and up to now (I'm mid 20s now). I think the best way to do it is probably something very natural like apple cider vinegar (you can look this up on youtube tutorial videos) or lemon juice.

Right now I'm just washing with cetaphil anti bacteria bar soap, clean and clear astringer with salycid acid, and benza clin trying to get rid of my acne. After all my acne is gone I might try that apple cider vinegar or I might... try the lemon juice every night. I have been using once in a while the very fine microdermabrasion by that st ives apricot scrub company and it is pretty good :)

yes, I use apricot scrub and it works GREAT. I switched from clean&clear to neutrogena pink grapefruit. the pink grapefruit wash is oil free and I'm already seeing a major change in the scars.

Acne scars will go away over time if you regularly moisturise your face with an oil free moisturiser. I have struggled with acne but after going on medication its been getting much better. You should go to a dermatologist and they should be able to prescribe you something.

It depends on the type of acne scars you have. If you have big crater shaped pits, then you can yous some over the counter products to reduce the look. Otherwise you need to go to a doctor and have them filled in to give them a natural look. If you have icepick scars, you have to go to the doctor, and get each one treated individually. It can be very expensive, but is a minor procedure.

Talk to a dermatologist. Roacutane is awesome, it stops your sebum glands which produce too much oil on your skin from producing oil and so almost reduce your pimples to none. Combined with moisturizer kills almost 100% of pimples.

I use Bio Oil for my acne scars. It's about $12 at any drug store, Wal-Mart, or Target.

Small, light scars fade within about two weeks and big, dark scars take a few months up to a year. You have to be patient, but it works.
