I name it as OCD because my psychiatrist said its it. This is special for me, I've known many ocd's, I haven't seen my obsessions in anyone. But drug therapy didn't work, I decided to live as I am. Are there any alternative ways to overcome ocd.
OCDs may vary a lot.
It's really hard to get rid of them.
Whatever the OCD is, try to break the habit.
Download an app where you can check the days you didn't your OCD, so you can see progress and if you feel bad about it you can gradually be happier.
Don't bother if you will fail a lot of times, it's a long run.
Be motivated and do something other to distract you, like drawing, playing an instrument, take a walk or do sport (very important, sport will give you dopamime).
Also change your diet with an healty one, focus on yourself, count calories if you want.

It just depends on what it is. I have a tactile issue where if I move past soft things I need to brush it with my pinky finger but if it's hard I need to hit it with my fist. What I started doing was walking more in the middle of the road/aisle so I wouldn't be in reach of things and eventually it calmed down a bit.
