I am experiencing this right now and it doesn’t wanna go away
This looks like cellulitis
Did you get any bug bite? How did it all started?
It should go away with antibiotics but what you eat during this days matters so much it’s important. Try to avoid sugars as much as you I can and drinks like Pepsi. Because bacteria will thrive and hard to go away if you consume sugars. I don't know your food habits I know it’s hard but until your leg is healed properly If possible eat food like lean meat and veggies since you are taking antibiotics. I’m sure dr haven’t told you anything about the sugars since they would be glad even to amputate your leg I mean it’s all about the $
Are you taking antibiotics?
I hope it’s gets better quickly try to sleep very well don’t get stressed
Omg no.. thank god never experienced that
I don't know what that is but yours seems bad tho i hope u get well soon 🥺
If your doc hasn't had a lab pull a culture of the cells/inflammation by-products/blood/etc in that are of your leg, find one who will. Until this is some, it's mostly guesswork. We will pray for your healing.
Yesh I was surprised they didn’t do that
oops - not "some", s/b DONE. darn Siri
The clearly delineated area of the leg that is effected should also be of some note to the doctors. While conditions can be "systemic"- that is- effecting the whole system or body- conditions can manifest in just some "weaker" areas of the body. Or, if some sort of localized issue such as cryscrys1 already aptly noted, the borderline (as indicated in your pic) could be a furthest distance that a toxin may have been able to progress in the lymph system, for example. My first guess was a snake bite or even a recluse spider, but you hadn't mentioned anything about having been bitten. After the blood panel, the next logical steps would be an allergy panel, and exploration into why just the leg and why just at this particular time. Disclaimer- Since I am "only" a Certified Massage Therapist for 28 years, the medical profession will not accept our info as valid medical info. So get back with an official medical doctor for your follow through on all this. You can have 500 people all with inflammation and every one of them can have a different cause of the swelling from bug bites or food allergies, to overwork, FM, collapsed veins, and too much sugar. Maybe there was a reduction in immuno-suppressive drugs which allowed inflammation to recur. The problem is finding doctors who are good causation detectives and ablate find the ROOT cause of the problems. Why just in the leg? Did you wear just one contaminated sock? This may sound goofy or flippant, but it isn't- to is simply one possible explanation of the reality of the localized leg issue. We wish you well in getting this checked out and treated successfully.
I got checked today they said the infection is cleared but the swelling is still there supposed to go on max 4 weeks. It started with a stupid blister that I didn’t plaster!
The only time I had heard of a blister that had turned into that big of an inflammatory response was via second-hand info from someone with a recluse spider bite. Other potential issues: Sluggish circulation could slow the recovery time because movement of wastes is slowed down. Certain foods can contribute to inflammation: refined flour, sugar, fried foods (esp with trans-fats), processed meats, peanuts, sodium (in salt and several ingredients that go into the processed meats), and others: even dairy, if the individual has a sensitivity to lactose AND the milk can interact with certain anti-bacterials. Hopefully your doc has a dietician on your team to check on things like that. A "blister" is a protective cover that allows new skin beneath to prepare itself to become "promoted" to a top layer. If broken, alternative protection needs to be provided. Two typical treatments for blisters that dos will use: warm, moist heat: a sterile needle to "pop" the blister and suction out protecting fluid: appropriate dressing and bandage to allow the new skin to harden up and the old top skin layer to slough off.. or Put a protective "ring" of self-adhesive "moleskin" around the blister so the blister fills the little donut hole and won't be poked. Over-cover the area with appropriate dressing. See what you doctor is considering appropriate for your case as far as clearing any remaining infection and the inflammation. Some will alternate hot and cold packs to act as a "pump" to expand and contract blood vessel to get the junk out out of your body more quickly. Some may piggy-back an additional or extra course of antibiotics. Take care and follow-up with appropriate care, even after everything seems "cleared up".
The only time my leg blew up was when I was at the beach & was in the water & got stung by something & by the time I got out of the water my leg was numb & it puffed up.

No I haven't but I've had patients that have. I assume you've gone to the doctor and got onto antibiotics?
Looking at the picture it looks like you might be in the ER?
Awe, you poor thing. That usually comes from eating processed meat. I would some fried chicken, and I feel discomfort feet or my back. Once I started eating vegetables only, it got rid of all inflammation and detoxed my body.
Looks like cellulites. I have had it before. The doc said I came close to losing my leg. I was on IV drugs for a week to get rid of the infection. .
Yes, you should be on Antibiotics and get checked to see if you are a diabetic
Fortunately no, I haven't.
That can take quite a while for it to go away.
I've heard it can also be very painful.
You're not diabetic are you? My wife got that and now it turned to limfodemia in her leg. She has swelling, pain, numbness, tingling in her leg.
Is she at the risk for amputing?
If she left it untreated, it is a possibility. How long has she had this and what are the doctors doing to treat it
I had something like that last summer. Not much fun.
I hope you are doing an aggressive antibiotic (and probiotic) regiment.
This is cellulitis? Is it diabetes related?
if so, left untreated could lead to sepsis... have seen similar many times. Usually treated successfully with IV antibiotics. Probable multiple days in hospital. Wish you well.
Thankfully no. That looks scary.
I have, not fun
