That’s a little extreme. Your body will end up crashing and will potentially go into starvation mode then storing more fat because it doesn’t know when it’s next meal will be. Eat when you’re hungry, smaller portions and snack on healthy items during the day. Drink lots of water and avoid over processed foods and sugary drinks like pop. Another option would be intermittent fasting. Allow yourself healthy meals 8 hours of the day and fast the other 12. The other 12 are typically during the night when you’re sleeping and in the evening.

I fast 36 every other week, 12 hours daily 8p-8a. There are some bad ways to fast! But there are good ways as, but most importantly is how to break the fast properly!
Why are you fasting is the question? Health or religious reasons? Diet and exercise are important for health reasons. I’m on a keto diet regimen! And yes you can do eating out as well on keto! Best of luck!
If you can manage, just eat everything in an 8 hour window everyday. Also drink plenty of water. It's easier to avoid eating too much throughout the day, and it's easier to count what you actually eat. It may have potential health benefits too aside from the weight loss.

i don't care just don't fast and then overeat after cos it defeats the point. i see a bunch of people starve themselves and then regain all the weight because they lack a long term goal or discipline. make sure you drink enough water & don't do too much strenuous activity when fasting.
I've heard that suddenly going from eating a normal amount a day to not eating at all causes you to gain more weight when you do eventually eat again.
If you fast too much, I know it slows down your metabolism.

go for a diet not fasting, especially if your body's not used to it - 36hrs without anything is crazy, if you really do want to fast cut it down
A calorie deficit will make you lose weight but without training your body first your body will store more calories as fat after the fast. Your body thinks it is starving so more calories will be stored as fat to compensate.
It's not a good idea. Better off doing a 5-2 diet where you eat 2000 calories 5 days a week and 500 calories on the other two. It's more sustainable
