When I go I am there to workout not sightsee, so maybe I am oblivious to the issues. When someone needs a spot on a free weight bench or a squat is about the only time I speak with anyone. But I think segregation should be up to the gym owner.

Pretty sure there already ARE female-only gyms. Not sure how many people actually go to them. As for male only gyms, those are going to be mainly populated with gay dudes.
