Why does my urine turn yellow when I’m burning calories?

like if I drink a high dosage of weight loss liquids or if I reduce my calories more than normal, my urine turns yellow. Any idea why?

You indicated in another post you were building muscle. One of the causes of yellow urine is the presence of urobilin, which is a waste product resulting from the breakdown of old red blood cells. The number of red blood cells increases when you start exercising, which makes sense because they carry oxygen and carbondioxide around your body. If you're body is breaking down more red blood cells, then that could be a cause of yellow urine.

It can also be caused by dehydration. I don't know what you are and aren't doing as far as cutting down on calories, but if you're not taking in enough fluids that could be a cause.

Riboflavin can cause yellow urine, and it's in a lot of multivitamins and supplements. Maybe it's in the weight loss liquids you're drinking.

If you’re restricting calories severely, ketosis can turn your urine bright yellow.

Dehydration and likely not processing the liquids well, sounds like you need more water.

If you take vitamins it's the water soluble vitamins being peed out.
