You just need to become exhausted :) get out there and RUUUUUN! Start exercising or join some sports club.
Haven't had sleeping issues since elementary school thanks to long school hours and healhty exchausting sports :)
I recommend swimming or badminton - requires few participants and simple "rules"
Take a hot shower, listening or watching things that relax you. My secret weapon is bob ross, youtube him >=) he has never let me down .
Don't watch TV/get on the computer before bed. This may seem like a good idea because it's physically restful but mentally and visually, they are both very stimulating activities. They stimulate your brain instead of helping it wind down and relax. Try going for a walk or reading instead.
Exercise, and get massages on a regular basis, they help me. I am never relaxed. That is usually the reason people can't sleep. They think too much and have a lot on their mind (even if it is nothing).

I've heard on John Tesh's radio show that if you count backwards from 300 by 3s that you'll be asleep before you get to 0.
