What's your opinion on my weight lifting routine?

You know me... I'm 40 and this is me.

Whats your opinion on my weight lifting routine?

I am fucking 40 though and I'm not going to hurt myself anymore just trying to get somewhere. So I changed my workout routine to a push-legs-back routine, with no days off, and I measure progress by being able to do 3 sets of 12-10-8 respectively. I believe in progressive overload which means you have to up the weight or at least the sets and reps. I came up with my own idea. I went and bought micro weights. So now I can magically only progress by one pound (that is just.5 lbs per limb) once every 3 days.

The idea is to move up so slowly that the body just progressively adapts to the added weight over time... like I don't even get sore and shit now. Any sign of actual pain and I'm not going to push anything. I never do. I'm fucking 40 and never broke anything, tore anything, or even pulled anything and I'm not about to start now. I'm also adding a bodybuilder's ideal type of yoga just for that safety shit.

So what do you think... is it extreme... actually pretty tame... or what? I'm just looking long-term here. I don't to be that 80 year old that just quits doing anything most of the time and ends up frail. Also, it should be known that in my family line, we usually live beyond 100. So I do kind of have to think about 40 more years from now at least... despite the fact that I chain vape and would drink most of you under the table on any given night. I don't do sugar though or simple carbs (besides beer), so I got that going for me. 😂

I just don't give a shit about diet... I mean... I've seen much worse at much younger than me. I eat meat and vegetables... fuck that diet shit.
