Too young to be sick!!!!

My doctor says I might have Juvenile Parkinson's Disease. It's a neurological disorder that usually occurs in people over 50 but sometimes can occur at a very young age. I am just a kid and I don't know what to do. I am worried I won't be able to be in a relationship and if I get properly diagnosed should I tell people? I want to be an actress if I have this disease can I hide it well from people or should I tell them and hope for the best?

I know this site is for asking about sex and relationships but I really need help and people to talk to.

Do you know someone with this disease or have you ever dated someone with a disease like this?

I'm so sorry. I've battled Crohn's disease (In case you haven't heard of it. Its were you have ulcers in your small and large intestines, it is very PAINFUL) since I was teenager and the worst part was no one understood that this is a life long thing even after I had 3 surgeries. I have other health problems too. I don't have what you have but, I can sympathize with you about being sick. I know you said that you were worried about being in a relationship and being sick. Most guys I've known have been very understanding and I've always told them straight up that I was sick, and most guys if they truly care about you will not care if you sick. They will try to take care of you. I know one thing that helps me is to pray. God is the only one that can change anything. I'll keep you in my prayers. Good luck.

Thanks for your answer and I'm sorry to hear about your disease too. I think I'm going to hide it for a little while if I have it, like when I go for a job at the end of the interview when they've probably made up their minds, I'll let them know.

I don't blame you about not telling someone that would be interviewing you untill the end. I've been there before. Life can be very hard. I hope you have a friend, parent or someone you lean on. I would be lost without my mom. She is my rock. Between her and God I know that no matter what I go through as long as they are with me I'm going to be alright :o) Good Luck

I'm sorry to hear this, but have you even researched what Juvenile Parkinson's Disease is? This is something that you should be reading and learning about off of reputable sites, not an advice forum type site. If Juvenile Parkinson's is anything like regular Parkinson's, you'll end up like Michael J. Fox and the many others who have Parkinson's.

I know what it is and I'm not trying to find anything about the disease out from this site. If you knew what it was, you'd know that it is a form of Parkinson's just in young people. And what do you mean about the last part with Michael J. Fox and stuff?

You asked if you could hide the disease, my point is, look at Michael J. Fox, if you take the medication the prescribe you likely won't be able to hold still.
