Do you think it’s wrong to be jealous of hard working people in banking?

I’m not a banker and never attempted that career but I had people get jealous cause I had a healthy issue as a child that I overcame while the recovery rate is less than 3% and the medically reported recovery rates is around 0%.

But I worked so crazy hard as a child that if I had no health issues at all, I would have been Harvard material. Nobody worked harder than me when I was younger. People way lazier than me were jealous that I recovered and out performed then when they had no obstacles impeding their success the way that I did cause I deflated their desperate ego boost at needing to feel superior to somebody else.

I knew a guy who would talk trash about a guy who went to Harvard and I think he is a sore loser. Only a guy with no conscience would be jealous of somebody who works 8-20 times harder then themselves when the deserving guy succeeded more than they did.

It is wrong to be jealous of anybody, there is disdain for bankers because of bailouts for their own errors. Silicon valley banks made rookie mistakes. you never but long duration bonds with rising rates the price drops. I know it aa CEO should know it. Many people went to credit unions, because of the bailouts, when banks fail smaall banks fail first, credit unions are small.

Jealous people are all over the place for silly reasons. Let alone when they see a person like u working hard and over coming great odds. They will be see Thing with jealous. The best Thing is to ignore jealous people they r waste of time and energy

I went to an elite school. Believe me, there are plenty of people who get in for reasons other than hard work.

This is just an example - what I'm saying is people hate those who work hard and succeed by merit. A degree from Yale is useless if you can't work a job that people expect somebody who studied at Yale to do.

That’s true. My experience in corporations is that people who do not work so hard but are manipulative increasingly tend to ruin the old-fashioned harder, competent workers.

I hear kids wanting socialism in usa because the can't get good jobs. this is jealousy to the highest degree. They prefer the nation be destroyed because they can't get their piece of the pie. Did they ever think people retire and good jobs will come.

@joeND The good jobs are few and far between due to government policy and regulations that led to deindustrialization. Also, the shift to fiat money in 1971 has resulted in an ever increasing share of wealth being captured by capital instead of workers. This is at an extreme level now. The kids aren’t imagining this, and as the boomers retire and draw down savings it places an additional weight on the economy. On top of that, ESG forces companies to hire and promote for reasons other than competence, creating additional headwinds for people who would otherwise advance through hard work. We do not have a free market. Our market is heavily regulated to favor large global corporations, investment is dominated by the USG, Fed, and the big three asset management firms. This is called globalist neoliberalism. It’s increasingly Soviet like, actually. When people call this a “free market” or “capitalism” it’s no wonder the kids want socialism.
