I have seen this multiple times, if I crave sugar and avoid eating sweet things, I will lose pounds within the next 8-36 hours. Yesterday I had so much decaf coffee I was depressed cause the coffee made me crave sugar. I did not lose weight but I avoided gaining weight after eating high calorie foods for 4 days in a row. it's just around the end of August, our family has a lot of parties where we eat lots of food. I read 78% of people who lose 5% or more of their body weight in a 4 year period get weight loss related depression from the changes their body is going through to lower their body weight so me getting depressed from a low sugar diet seems normal.
Yes it's normal and it's normal to crave anything while trying to lose weight. think of it this way your body is so use to getting sugar or whatever and all of a sudden bam cold turkey it's going through shock of not having something.1st couple wks is the hardest but over time your body starts taking it as it's normal not to have sugar but there will be periods of time that you want a candy bar a pop ice cream etc and that's still normal.

Refine sugar is addictive. Replace it for fruits. It's healthier to eat 3 sweet mangos than 3 spoon of refined sugar.
Yes, it's quite normal since your body needs to adjust to a new diet, and a part of it is psychological
