"body positivity" doesn't change your critical blood work levels. facts are facts, the human body shouldn't be obese and what happens when you get obese is that you die younger
i think body positivity is toxic and it needs to stop. "love yourself at any size" but really i think you should love yourself enough to lose weight so you don't die you know?

I’m not going to pretend that morbidly obese people are beauty queens but we should help obese people and not make their lives harder. Obesity is a disease, it might not be as painful as cancer or industrial accidents but it’s still something healthy people would never choose.

Everyone knows why. Sometimes I'm just at such a loss for words at obvious and obsequious truths about our biology being ignored nowadays, or approached as if the consequences of obesity and massive consumption aren't given. And then when people reap the sad harvest and succumb left right and center, then we get all these "professional opinionaters" (not referring to Aba & Preach) and articles "discussing" why it might actually not be a good thing.
Same thing in our school system. Some phoney phsycologists introduce "low affective approach", and discard discipline altogether, we end up with decades of chaotic messes in our academic environment, which teachers knew from the get-go would happen, and then ca. 20 years later people start "discussing" about, well you know according to "experts" there may be flaws to the low affective method. Newsflash people, it doesn't take a genius to know that obesity kills, and discipline is essential. And the two, discipline taught in school and self-restraint in adult life, are highly linked.
Trying to find anything positive in an obvious disease is a (mental) disease in itself!
It turns out that being morbidly obese is not as positive as everyone thought.
