My mom is unfortunately not getting better. The cancer spread on her back that caused injury, so she will be placed in a nursing home. She’s dying unfortunately. Gotta fly out again to see her. She just turned 65. She isn’t eating, lost weight and barely. One of my relatives told me she won’t eat and she mostly sleeps but she is talking a bit and not in pain which is good. It’s very tough but I gotta be strong and think positive which I do. I prayed for a miracle but there’s no bright side. She will be placed in a nursing home, but my aunt said she should be in hospice but she agrees with the nursing home 24/7 care. What are the differences I’m just curious.
Hospice means you’re put their to die. There’s no other way to get better. You put dying patients there to pass away. Sounds brutally blunt but it’s the truth. Nursing home helps patients get back on track on walking, exercise and staying alive or try too. The condition your mother is in, to put it bluntly your aunt has a point, she should be in hospice. She’s dying! What did you expect? A miracle? Don’t expect everyone to feel sorry for you.

Have you heard of the legislation President Trump got put into place for people that are dying?
It's called Right to Try.
That where they are given every chance to live. Doctors give every treatment, every medical, what ever it takes to get them better so they don't die
Maybe it's your miricle 🌹Hospice means the end is near. Nursing means they still have a chance.
