Fasting is actually extremely healthy and the most stupid idea ever ( introduced by processed foods ) is the idea of 3 meals a day , now that is NOT healthy , especially if as per USA they ingest extra " stuff " on top , you can actually fast for 3 days with only water and your body will thanks you.
I work generally to 16 / 8 or 20/4 on any given day , then around twice a year , I will do the 3 days , the body was actually made to fast , and once you are used to it , its extremely easy and very healthy.
I recommend Doctor Sten Edberg to follow on YouTube , holistic medical doctor.
Utilise fasting and cut out all processed foods , particularly processed carbohydrates.

I have done so before, for various reasons. To slow metabolism in order to require less from the soil, to see if fasting would remove an autoimmune disease (that time lasted 3 days and resulted in no more hunger, only fatigue on an empty stomach), and of recent, on days where bodily energy is not a priority but clear mind-work is.
I do, Started fasting in 2018.
I was trying different diets to help my stomach. (When I came back from tech school I gained weight and felt like shit) My mom brought up how we used to not eat past 8pm. Learned it was called “intermittent fasting” so I started that again. Lost 15 pounds the very first week then. It helped me with my energy levels and nausea. Then I started my 48 hour and 72 hour fasts. So it’s been about 6 years.
I practice intermittent fasting
I started 7 years ago when I needed to lose a lot of weight, and somehow, fasting was the best solution for me. I started with 12/12 and ended with 20/4. The 4-hour eating window worked very well, but lately, I can't keep my weight and have gone underweight, so I extended the eating window and currently have a 6-hour window.

Yes. I do not eat breakfast that often anymore. Longest fasts are usually during the weekend. I find we eat too much. And fasting helps eat away at fat, when done right. I just need medium to small lunch to none, to eat a nice healthy big dinner afterwards.
It is not for me. The most beneficial thing that works for me is multiple small meals every a few hours. It is the only way that helps me maintain my weight without gaining or losing.
Im hypoglycemic which is like almost a diabetic so I have to eat a well balanced diet everyday or i can get sick. But I do however highly respect the art of fasting for it is not only a health ritual but a religious and spiritual act, in many Faiths and cultures.
We don't really do that in my family. But I wouldn't fast because it wouldn't be healthy for me to do so.
I've didn't think it was something that required practice. You just stop eating for a while.
Why would I practice fasting? It's easy, just stop eating.
Used to do it for religious reasons until 2018 and never really done it since.
Yes, I've been fasting for many years now. And once a year I do a whole month of strict fasting during the Holy Month of Ramadan.

I am diabetic. And in the past year, I have started fasting, which is surprisingly easier than I thought it would be as long as I drink water. How about you?
I fast on Ash Wednesday and Good Friday during Lent as is customary for Catholics.
