Maybe psychologically, but certainly not physically

Of course. And I get that people make the distinction between psychological/physical addiction to distinguish between drugs that can kill you if you try to go cold turkey after becoming dependent on them, but a lot of people then use that as an excuse to pretend like psychological addiction is somehow less worse or something.
Ask a smoker or a porn addict just how rough it is to overcome a psychological addiction or how life-ruining a bad habit can be. It's just as important to keep your psyche healthy as it is your body and if you're becoming psychologically addicted to weed or any other drug, you have got to put an end to it immediately.
Yes it can be. It is not as addictive as say, cocaine or heroin, but it can be none the less. A lot of addiction treatment centers have patients who are recovering from weed addiction.
Absolutely. It’s possible to have an addiction to anything in life. While cannabis itself is not “addictive” in the same way that nicotine is, the feeling of being high can be very addictive, no different than alcoholics craving being drunk. And if you’re a heavy user, withdrawals can be horrible.
It’s nothing compared to opiate withdrawal lol 😆
In general no, but some people can have severe withdrawals if they’re heavy users.
It’s mostly just depression and sadness, maybe some anxiety. I’d hardly call that severe lol. Severe is more like muscle cramps, sweats, vomiting, restlessness, loss of appetite. If there’s nothing physical, it’s not severe in my opinion
I was addicted to weed for 5 years, never had a moment where I wasn’t high, couldn’t function without it. When I quit, I went through 3 months of psychosis, chronic migraines, sweats, vomiting and insomnia. As I said, some people can have severe withdrawals, but generally yes you’re right, withdrawals are mild and mostly psychological.
Hmm interesting. Yeah, those cases would be far and few between
Anything can become an addiction if you do it to enough excess that it becomes a coping mechanism, and anything to enough excess can do a great deal of harm to the body.

Sure , people can get a physical dependence to weed. People that like to smoke it will tell you other wise but it is a real thing.
Physical dependence does not happen with weed lmao 🤣
Actually, there are a range of physical withdrawl symptoms listed for cannabis use disorder in the American Psychiatric Association's Diagnostic and Statistical Manuel of Mental Disorders (DSM).
@Kingofkings1992 "People that like to smoke it will tell you other wise but it is a real thing."
@exitseven otherwise is one word. So much for smoking weed making you dumb
Habit or addiction, same difference really. Yes. It's possible
Habit and addiction are not the same
When it leads to the same rock bottom I can't be bothered with semantics
Habit means regular use. Addiction is where your brain and body actually depend on it
I'll let the docs, repo guys, ex's and estranged kids know..
"Cannabis dependence" is a mental disorder listed in the DSM.
