Eat fewer calories and burn more calories. That's the basic model. I would start here link to get a general idea of how much you should eat.
While it's possible to lose weight just by dieting, I would suggest getting more exercise as well. Start with some light cardio (you don't have to kill yourself, just do something to get your heart beat up to start with) and maybe some calisthenics then gradually increase the intensity level of your workouts. Cardio should be your main focus, but make sure to add a little bit of weight/resistance training to the regimen. You won't burn as many calories, but adding some muscle tone will give your body a nice shape and and raise your resting metabolism which will help you keep your weight off.
The most important thing is that you do something you can stick with. Fad diets don't work because as soon as you go off of them you gain the weight back (and sometimes more). Health is a lifestyle so you have to do something sustainable.
Good luck.

Count calories. It's all about how much calories you take in every day versus how much you burn throughout the day. In order to lose weight, you need a caloric deficit so you have be able to burn more calories than you take in per day.
Step 1: Figure out how much calories you need to eat every day to maintain your current weight.
Step 2: Plan to cut about a quarter of your calories per day.
You can do step 2 by eating the same amount and trying to figure out how much to exercise to burn the extra calories. Or you can just eat less by that many calories. You better yet, you can eat less and exercise more.
Drop off all/any type of sweets & sugary drinks.
Eat healthy foods, no more oily or fast foods of any type.
Drink water all day everyday.
Exercise, go to the gym, if you don't like going there then you can go out for a jog, or power walk, ask a friend to go with you if you don't like doing that by your self.
OR you should do zumba dance in your house,(you tube it if you don't know what that is) it keeps your body moving a lot, you can just dance around home as long as you do it everyday.
Nothing is going to make you drop wait like that, unless you take fat burners, which I don't recommend. Eat healthy, eat smaller portioned meals. Exercise of course, treadmill, running, dancing, whatever you like. Stay away from things high in fat and sugar of course. If you find yourself to be a snacker, eat carrot sticks, or an apple etc instead. It's hard work, but you can do it girl!

Learn how to prepare your own healthy meals at home and buy Tupperware to bring healthy meals on the road.
Every healthy dish has 3-4 elements that make it a complete meal. The key is finding healthy ingredients to fill those 3-4 elements.
1. Protein - Frozen chicken breasts, frozen salmon cuts, frozen halibut, etc will work just fine.
2. Vegetables - Frozen spinach, broccoli, mixed veggies, peas, etc are perfect.
3. Carbs/Fibers - Canned beans, whole wheat rolls, a side of oatmeal works.
4. Fruits - An orange, apple, banana works.
Drink water or fat free milk.
As far as how you choose to prepare those ingredients is up to you. Make sure not to add too much grease or salt with whatever recipe you go for.Basically good eating which calls for a balance of protein, fruits and vegetables and exercise which does not necessarily mean heavy exercise. (Right now I walk about 4 miles per day.)
