Have you ever had an electrolysis treatment for your facial hair?

tomorrow is my first electrolysis session ever for the hair on my upper lip. and I'm really starting to worry about it, I'm afraid I'm waisting my money and time and I won't get the satisfying results I expect. I'm also afraid of my skin's reaction since I have a very sensitive one. Also, they say it hurts more than waxing, is it true?

Please I need your experiences and advice on this subject, it's really concerning me..

I was thinking about electrolysis as well, but instead I choose to go for laser hair removal. It is less time consuming and less expensive (at least where I live), and less painful. I got laser hair removal for my upper lip, chin, underarms, and bikini line. I got my upper lip done about 6 years ago, and still today there isn't a single hair there! I would recommend laser hair removal over electrolysis. :)

Can you not just shave? What convinced you to try electrolysis? If you're still not 100% certain about it maybe you should think on it a little more...

Well first off that's a myth :\ The only thing shaving might do is make your hair grow back slower, if you don't shave right and get ingrown hairs. Hair removal has no effect on your hair growing back darker or faster.

I am not a girl but my mother has had electrolysis done. It is effective, and it is the only way to permanently remove hair. There are many hair removal scams out on the internet, but electrolysis is a sure way.

My mom had it done more than 10 years ago and she's still hair-free. Apparently it hurts a lot and is time-consuming but very effective.

Laser hair removal seems like the better option personally.
