What food would you NOT try?

Every culture has its own unique dish or delicacy. I grew up in Japan during my childhood, so I've eaten foods that some other cultures would not. Some of my friends and co-workers gagged over just mentioning certain foods. So I'm curious: what would you not be willing to try? Is it food from where you live, from your culture, or from another culture?

I wish this wasn't the case, but the truth is that I am extremely picky about food and it's one of the few areas that I'm not very adventurous at all. I've tried to expand my food choices over the last couple of years, but honestly it hasn't gone very well.

Other than some really basic stuff (fried rock cod), I don't eat any seafood, and I don't like salads or most vegitables beyond the most common stuff (corn, peas, grean beans, carrots). I'm mostly a mean and potatos kind of guy. I want to travel, but being able to get food that I will actually be able to eat is a serious concern when I think about traveling to many parts of the world...

I grew up with Korean culture so I've eaten things my friends have frowned at ha ha -

I'd try anything honestly - I love new foods.

Though, I'd be very hesitant with insect foods - like fried grasshopper and chocolate dipped ants lol.

Bugs creep me out so much so just feeling their little legs and antenaes crunching in my mouth might make me throw up -

Then again - could be delicious...

I like to try food; because I try food I know what I don't like them and what I do like. I HATE papya link , and chiles rellenos link , never again will I try them. Other than that I tend to like everything.

I know in China some places serve cat/dog meat.. same with horse - I could never eat that.

fried crickets I've seen and escargot definitely not. yuck.

Most of the food in Japan I would not try to eat. There's a drink there where they cut out a turtle's beating heart and put it in the drink. I would never in a million years drink that. I won't even eat caviar let alone that.
