Bigger girl, smaller guy. What do you think?

So I'm 6'1", around 198 (and perfectly proportioned, so I'm told). He's around 5'11", and probably 140. He's not tiny, so much as he is skinny. I think I like him, but I can't get past the "guy has to bigger" syndrome. I am trying very hard to stay open minded, and not dismiss things because they're not correct according to the way I was brought up. The guy being taller is one of those things. Can something like this work? Has anyone else been in a similar situation?

Just to clarify, he doesn't seem to have any issues with the fact that I'm bigger than he is. The issue seems to be just mine.

I've seen many girls with men shorter then them, it's really all about how you and him feel about it. If neither one of you seem to have a problem with it then what's the problem? Who cares what other people think about it? I wouldn't think that it would be a wise choice to not date him simply because you're taller then him. You could be passing up a great relationship, so just do it and be happy and don't let other influence you negatively on it.

oh, I totally understand! I'm six feet and 160, and my boyfriend is 5'8" and weighs like 135ish

im really self conscious about the fact that I'm bigger than him, but he truly doesn't care. weve been together for a few months...you just have to think about how everything isn't about appearance, but you like him for who he is and he likes you for who you are, and that's the most important thing

when you're 6'1" as a woman you don't really have the option to stick by those rules, otherwise you're eliminating so many men who could be perfect for you. my advice is get over it, because if you pass up this decent guy over this rule you might be limiting yourself to a life of dating jerks.

no offence but if your 6'1" you aren't going to have as much of a choice if you only date taller guys. I personally, have dated 3 shorter guys, and it wasn't that big of a deal. if you really like him go for it!
