if you want to be healthy and lean then your diet must reflect that and you must exercise otherwise yes you will struggle with your weight continually. trying low-carb or low-fat faddy diets are your problem, everyone knows you need a balance of all the nutrients for your body to function and heal itself - like fibre not laxatives. there is so much information and education out there now all you need is to be motivated and patient be sensible about losing weight. much like anything we don't mind that it took years to gain all the weight but we're too impatient to invest years in losing it too. find your motivation and it will pay off, promise.
I agree, get on a good nutrition program along with exercise. If you getting good nutrition, that includes some fats. And try probiotics? They work magic for me. And I have a horrible digestive time haha

No one is doomed to be fat forever. But if you don't want to be fat forever, you have to become very, very serious about it. That means a solid exercise and nutrition program that you stick to for a long time to come. I am on a weight loss program now which will take 6 months to complete (I am in month 4.). I suggest you work with a nutritionist recommended by your doctor and also a trainer. Be ready to look at it as a year long project. Once you begin make visible progress, it will become easier and easier.
Did you not see that I get constipated and sick every time I try to diet? How do I change that?
The keys to being healthier (this should be the focus; then weight will adjust naturally), is to balance your activity and good eating habits.
