What is your favorite type of alcohol to drink?

I will admit...i LOVE drinking alcohol. :)

When it comes to you drinking, what type of alcohol drink do you usually prefer?

This is a tough one. I don't think I have a favorite as I like variety.

Beer and wine coolers are probably the lowest on my list though, as I only like to drink those if I'm in it for the long haul with friends. Then I actually prefer them.

Wine and champagne is middle tier for me. I can dig them both at any given time (as well as sake). I almost want to say that they are my favorites if not for the fact that it is super easy to get headaches with this group (hydrating for recovery is easier with liquor, because you don't drink as much due to the alcohol concentration).

Most of the time I would get a mixed drink with hard liquor; the exception is whiskey on the rocks because that is my favorite default drink when going out. Oh, and sometimes it is fun to take a shot of tequila with friends =)

Favorite mixed drinks include:

Old-fashioned

Vodka Tonic

Vodka Cranberry

Bloody Mary

Screwdriver

White Russian

I like to sip on a 50/50 mix of whiskey and ginger ale. Depending on my mood I'll just sip whiskey/scotch/burbon.

My fav hard alcohol is Cognac though. I only have that two or three times a year though since it's over $150 a 750 ml bottle for the stuff I drink.

Damn..Looking the poll, I feel like a bum picking beer but that what I'm mainly down for. With beer, I can drink for a much longer time than when I'm drinking vodka or tequila or whiskey. With the hard stuff, after I've had one or two glasses, I'm pretty much done for the night. I'll be incredibly wasted.

I like flavored vodka best. My friends and I tend to just take shots when we drink.

I don't like beer. I love champagne and wine coolers. Mixed drinks are good too. But too much of any of those gives me a headache, so I just prefer shots.

The older I get the less I want to drink, and I definitely don't drink any of the hard stuff. I only drink about 1-3 days a week lately, and when I do it's anywhere from 1-4 beers ... usually Yeungling, Sam Adams, or Corona is what I like.

Liquors are the only way to go. Beer is weak and sh*t. Wine is alright depending on the type, but still not as good as Liquors.

Depends on the goal. also, some beers have similar alcohol content to wine ...

And imo liquor tastes a ton better than beer which tastes like piss. But beer is cheaper which is why people seem to go with it.

True, but generally most think it's still more expensive than beer because they look at the initial cost of the item, not the amount needed to get wasted :P not that I get wasted, really don't care. Drunk I have gotten though. But not that much ever.

I like rum...specifically captain morgan/sailor jerry's mixed with coca cola. I HATE any tequila or anything with tequila. I like draft beer..BLUE MOON

Beer beer beer. Sapporo/Sam Adams/ Blue Moon/ Heineken, if I'm lucky enough HERTOG JAN, but you can't get that in the states.

I know this guy is no longer a user, but I'm just going to comment and say that Sapporo is terrible (and Kirin is thick and awful). Asahi is the way to go (lighter and crisper).

Speaking of Japanese beverages, I was introduced to Suntory's Yamazaki whiskey. Suntory's whiskey is middle tier but their Yamazaki is superb!
