Overall -- Competitive basketball on an elite level. The combination of endurance, agility and precision is difficult to master. To prepare you have to light weights, drill for hours, and learn to run for both endurance and speed.
Precise -- Hitting a riseball. (Studies have shown that an elite softball pitcher gives the batter less reaction time than a major league baseball pitcher, being that the pitching mound is closer to home plate.)

I found polo (on a horse) really challenging; it requires so much coordination.
Combat soccer. 6 soccer balls, a platoon full of people all wearing flak jackets.
A sergeant for the other team was really good at soccer. He scored twice on our goal and just was killing us. I was told to do something about it. So I dropkicked him. Took him out for the rest of the game. It was brutal, and I loved it. :)
Double dutch. Yes, that game kids play that requires 2 jump ropes. I find that the degree of coordination needed to do it makes it more difficult than anything anyone else mentioned because I struggle more with coordination than I do with raw strength or speed or endurance.

Boxing is very hard. But the hardest thing I have done mentally and physically, it's probably more of a hobby than a sport, is weightlifting.
You need so much willpower to push yourself through those final few reps. Your body is exhausted but your mind needs to drive you on. I guess the same goes for boxing.Milsim airsoft.
It combines strength training with marathon/endurance training: You're carrying a kit that weighs 25 to 50% of your body weight for 5+ hours, and you're continually sprinting, kneeling, going prone, and sometimes climbing or rappelling (though this is rare).Hurling is the toughest and fastest game I've played.

The speed and intensity at which its played is phenomenal
Sparring, ice hockey, and surfing. Surfing prob being the hardest bec its like swimming just against 15 ft waves for a few 100yrds than you ride a wave for 20 secs and you gotta paddle right back oit again
wrestling is by far the most exhausting sport I've participated in, I played football for twelve years ran track wrestled and boxed for 6 and I can say my two seasons wrestling were the most intense workouts I've ever had
Hurling by far! It takes a variety of skills simultaneously. Aside from the helmet which is mandatory, no padding like football and it moves faster than any other sport on the field
Triathlon was tough to train for as well as canoeing, but personally Rugby union has been the toughest sport/athletic activity I've played
I guess it was boxing, but in some ways it didn't seem like it.
I love ice-hockey, snow skiing and dirt bike riding. I still do all 3.
