I just need to lose like 18-20 lbs
And it's getting harder to lose weight -_-
The HCG diet is supposedly based off of a hormone that if I remember correctly is a pregnancy hormone.
It is a fad diet and I really would not look into it. What are you going to do when you've lost the weight and do not get the shots anymore?
With the HCG diet, you do also have to eat a low calorie diet. So really, we don't know if the weight loss is from the diet change or from the hormones. If you are eating a lot of added sugar and are not watching your portion sizes and you all of a sudden eat super healthy and cut your calories drastically, of course you will see a lot of weight loss.
You really do not have THAT much weight to lose. That weight could be lost over the period of 2-3 months through diet and exercise. Cut out ALL added sugar and eat small portions and exercise every day. You will see a difference.
There is no quick fix and anything that promises a quick fix is not reliable. People want to outsmart their body with pills, injections and ridiculous "caveman" "dukan" and other phase themed diets but you just can't do it. The smartest way is to cut out unnatural and prepackaged foods.
Ohh, I heard you didn't have to do the injections, at least from the video I was watching :O I wouldn't inject my body though, unless that's the whole point of it...then I should rethink it
Hydroxycut is basically just caffeine pills. They have a few additives in them but the main ingredient is caffeine. They used to have other ingredients that made them more effective but the FDA made them remove them because, well, people were having heart attacks.
The HCG diet works but the results are only temporary as most of the loss you will see is water loss. When you resume normal eating habits the weight will pile right back on you. It is also not healthy.
The reason it's getting harder to lose weight is because you're already at the point that your body knows, health-wise, anyway, is its target weight. You've said yourself that the weight you have left that you want to lose is more muscle than fat and your body will fight like crazy to hold onto that because it knows losing it is unhealthy.
Hydroxycut has little to know scientific proof. And the chemicals in it doesn't show any correlation with weight loss. What's more, there's a high possibility of side effects such as (stomech aches, digestive issues and possibily death if the chemicals in the suppliment don't react well with your body chemistry.
You should lose weight natually. A good goal is to aim to lose .5 to 2 pounds a week. This means to achieve your goal, your looking at 10 weeks of working out and dieting.
Remember:
1- Increase intake of water.
2-increase cardio
3-When lifting weights, do high repititions and low weight
4-Increase intake of fruits, veggies, and cut out any empty calories (such as pop, energy drinks and candy).
