Seasonal allergies sufferers...what medication / remedies do you use?

Last allergy season I took Zyrtec for allergy season (Claratin stopped being effective).

This season, I've been drinking 4 cups of green tea (2 first thing in the morning, and 2 in the late afternoon around 3pm), and I haven't needed allergy medicine yet. :)

I never had any allergies at all growing up, and neither did my mom, but she developed seasonal allergies when she was like 19-20, shortly after I was born. But I think it was just the age, because I started developing mild seasonal allergies around the same age. She learned from a coworker that if you eat a couple spoonfuls of your LOCAL honey during the winter months, the pollens and everything from your area that the honey is made from helps you build up a bit of an immunity for them by the time allergy season rolls around. I tried that trick last year and it worked wonders, especially since my allergies aren't very severe. I'd definitely recommend it. No mass-produced honey from who knows where though, it has to be locally made in your area. If you live in a bigger city, you might have to go to smaller organic food stores to find it, because bigger grocery stores might not carry them.

Mine is everyday lol. Went for desensitization shots which I meant to lower the amount of days you're effected by allergies but not decrease your reaction to your environment. The result for me was allergy symptoms present everyday but a decrease in their effect... Anyone else experienced that before? I just take the generic zyrtec now. Also my guess is working on your immunity somehow helps depending on how you became allergic in the first place... Depending on.. whatever... We're all somewhat different!

I have eye drops, nasonex, and allegra. Lol I'm a mess during allergy season, especially this year, there's a greater amount of pollen than it has been in previous years.

Oh man, allergies are kiling me this season... I donnknow what it is , but usually I don't have severe allergies. Idont take any meds but make sure I take a shower everyday after I've spent time outside, lol...

I take Claratin D usually. That's interesting about the green tea. I've never heard about that helping with allergies but it makes sense...
