But I'm having trouble toning my upper thighs and butt.
Also, I'd like to look a little more thin and less curvy. But not to get skinnier in an unhealthy way.

Trending & News Your weight sounds fine for your height so far... I'm about 120 and 5'5"... toning your body shouldn't be too hard. but just remember, if you start working out you may see your weight drop, then increase, then drop again. This would be because at first you will lose fat and water content, then gain muscle and maybe the water content back, then start losing fat and gaining muscle slowly.
So if you do lose some and start gaining some while you are working on it, DON'T STOP. your body is doing everything OK and it is just trying to make sure that you're able to do what you want it to with more ease.
Sure, take up running training, alternating longer slow runs with days when you do repeated sprints. Do this 4-5 days a week. On the other days, do aerobics in a class that's mostly women. Th einstructor will concentrate on floor work and light weights that target those areas.
Ifyou get bored, do heavier weights maybe 3 days a week, but get someone to show you the safe way to work with the heavier weights.
