Arena football fans - Logical process for the guy I'm talking to?

The guy I'm talking to plays arena football and has hopes to join a NFL team or Canadian league, at some point. He is pushing 28 and is about to have surgery on his shoulder, and we know he'll go home after the season but wondering if he may return next season. The team he's on is paying for the surgery and own his rights, so is it logical or wishful thinking that he could end up back here next season? I mean, I would consider him an investment and if they are going to pay for surgery I would think they wouldn't let him go to another team after coughing up that kind of cash... Maybe I'm just lovestruck and hoping he comes home to me... :(

Ok well it depends what arena league he is in. Some have problems with ownership and just have new players come in year after year at a cheaper rate. I mean is he in the AFL, IFL, UFL,... there at tons of arena leagues and teams. Sometimes its more on if her wants to return. I mean he probably plays on a team far from home so he may miss his family and find out that living in an apartment with a roommate is not for him anymore especially since he is getting older. He may just want to give up. I don't know what position he plays though so I can't say anything about his NFL dream. But I know arena players don't really get paid all to much so they might find a better thing to do when they see football isn't working out. I know a little bit about this because my sister is with a football player that went to the NFL from the arena league but was hurt and didn't last too long. Even with making all that money in the NFL it just doesn't last. Of course he was just one of the players on the practice squad that got the minimum wage for a player. But the agent and the apartment they are in cost a lot of money. Especially where he was at when he played in new york. Players won't go back just for a girl by the way. Since he does want to make it to the NFL, he is going to try and find a team that has people that might have connections into getting him there. For example, teams in St. Louis and Dallas/ Allen that have connections to owners in the NFL. If he likes you then he will let you know of his plans.
