Has anyone ever used an elliptical?

I was thinking of investing in an elliptical to use on my legs. I shave and wax a lot so I figure this might save me some money, but I've seen some mixed reviews. The only negative thing that worries me is that people complain that their skin gets red and bumpy for a LONG time after each use. Any insight would be nice, thanks :)

I think you are thinking of an eppilator. An elliptical is an exercise machine.

Epillators are great on places like your chin, neck, toes, etc. Small areas.

THe things just plain hurt so the smaller the area the better!

Il have my own method of shaving that seems to help.

I store my razor outside of the shower and in alcohol to limit the bacterial growth that can cause razor burn and bumps.

I exfoliate to remove dead skin that clogs pores.

I use a shave cream

I spray a disinfecting spray called Coochy on the bikini line and legs if I need it.

No prob! I gotta use one on my chin and neck. I tried it on my bikini line and legs, and if I did it again, I would need to take a few shots of vodka.

Its painful and ideal for small areas. Its worth the investment if you get hairs on your chin or neck (lots of girls do), and you may as well give it a try.

If you are looking to work out, an elliptical is great.

If you are looking to remove hair from your legs, try getting laser treatment. It only takes 2 or 3 times and it is worth the investment because you won't have to shave for a very long time after. Then you do it every so often after that. (works well with armpits and any other places with unruly hair)

Hey, if an elliptical machine would get the hair off, I'd be set LOL!

But yeah, I heard epilators are okay. I've never used one myself so I wouldn't know for sure.

I don't like them ay, if your hair is fine it'll just break it off most of the time so it would be like a bad painful shave lol. It's not that painful overall though (unless you use it *down* there). They're kinda rough, it's like you'd want to use some kinda moisturiser with it or after it haha... it's just irritating. Shaving is definitely better. Umm, you wouldn't be anymore red than if you were to wax though. The whole process is slower than waxing I think because the epilator head is quite

small so you'd have to go over it a few times considering your leg is rounded (cylindrical shape) and the head of the epilator isn't that shapely.

Liken it to a careless tweezer. A careless tweeze is a lot more painful than a skillful one. :)

Np, also the head of it can be quite annoying, it has this little cap that goes over the rotating tweezing things but that doesn't always glide over your skin properly, it's really just a hassle. It sorta leans like some razors do but it usually just 'jumps' over the skin instead of gliding to the next spot.
