Teachers with selling drug history..

I have no idea where to post this, but this website always seems to answer my questions. My question is what if you know of a teacher who was arrested in the past for drug possession (and potentially selling drugs to students.) This teacher was not arrested as her boyfriend took full responsibility and was fired from the school she worked at. She managed to find a new teaching job hours away... what would you do if you found out that this is your child's teacher, and or was working at the school near you? Can a teacher even get re-hired with such a history?

If she was not complicit or found guilty in a crime, then she has the right to teach without being judged or falsely accused. Being arrested isn't the same as being charged, so she could sue for defamation of character if anyone accuses her of any criminal wrong doing to disrupt her current or future employment.

well that's weird I don't want to judge her... maybe she is good but I would be worried ofcourse if my kids are there I would send a report to the school and ask for explaination... and would sit with that teacher and talk alooot and tell her I'm watching you :D
