Has any of you tried the toothpaste method to get rid of pimples?
If yes, was it successful?
I am thinking of trying that out, so I just wanted to know if it worked for you!
Do not use toothpaste! Many people attest to it working, but that is highly unlikely. On a short term basis it can work, but it extremely dries your skin out, and is not good for your skin in general. Here is the method I use.
1.Look into getting Trentonin from your GP.
2. Get a daily facial wash like Clearasil Daily Scrub.
3. Get the Clearasil Daily Moisturizer.
4. Wash your face only twice a day with the Clearasil Scrub.
5. Sit in the steam room at least 3 times a week (In the beginning your acne will get worse. This is due to the skin cells regenerating, and the steam pushing forth the black heads, and exfoliating the current acne spots.
6. Also take Fish oil every day. This helps with a dietary issues, and can help with skin on the long term.
7. Do not drink Whole milk. Make sure to get the reduced fat, and stay away from cheeses if you can. If you do eat cheese. Make sure it is the white cheese. It is not exactly a huge issue with acne, but can be a cause for a general population with those who have it.
Hope this Helps,

Don't try tooth paste. Listen, take it from someone who used to have terrible Acne and tried all kinds of products for over 8 years. From Clean and Clear to Proactiv, and many doctor prescriptions.
You only need these two products:
Purpose Gentle Cleansing Wash

and
Aveeno Moisturing Lotion

They are EXTREMELY effective, at the nice bonus of being cheap as well. Seriously, give it a try and I kid you not, give it like, 2-3 days and you'll start to notice a difference. It seriously took me years of searching to find these two combination products, above all the prescription drugs I had to take.
You should instead use products that are made to go on your skin... not your teeth.
I use St. Ive's Apricot Scrub and Mary Kay toner with Olay moisturizer.
That combo works for me, but since we're girls, there will always be those little flare ups due to hormones.
It doesn't work very well. It actually has the tendency to irritate and dry out your skin.
If you are looking for a leave on treatment, then I would go with one by Clean and Clear, its in the silver tube. Its amazing.

Toothpaste is a bad idea, it dries out the pimple so it disappears faster because it dries them out. But it also dries your shin out. My sister used to do it, she always got pimples in the same area (in the corner of her nose) after a while she developed a rash there that took more than a week to get rid of using moisturising cream...
Don't do the toothpaste treatment, it doesn't work. Go to straight rubbing alcohol, it drys out your skin but really helps dry up and rid pimples!
It only lessen the apperance of irritated pimple...it will reduce the size id them by drying them out but it won't get rid of them
clean and clear advantage is the only thing that has ever worked for me
lol I'm pretty sure its for fightng cavities. Not curing zits. Sorry.
