Difference between ego and confidence?

In my opinion I feel like there is nothing I cannot do. I'm very decisive with what choices I have. I do what I can to be the best I can be because I want to live life to the fullest. That means doing what I enjoy and working hard. I'm not afraid of what people think because we are all equals as individuals. I respect others, but value myself enough to discern what I know is true to myself. I'm very picky with which girls I talk to, but that stems from me having patience to find the right girl. I'm single, but I can enjoy my own company just fine. I work out, groom well, and dress nicely because I enjoy looking my best.



Are these kinds of thoughts/behaviors egotistical or confidence in myself?

For the most part, yes, though I'd have my doubts based on two minor things - one, a truly confident person wouldn't be asking others if he was confident, and two, you make the distinction about being chosy which girls you *talk* to, and not which girls you date.

in my experience, guys who can't talk to girls can find a million reasons to justify it. A confident guy wouldn't have a problem talking to anyone, even if he was very chosey about which girls he actually dated.
