My little cousin is obsessed with my boobs!

She's 12 years old and awesomesauce but... very much obsessed with my boobs. She hugs me all the time which I love, but it's always followed by some comment like 'you're so comfy' or 'I wanna sleep on you forever' or 'they're so soft'. When I was 12, I didn't do anything like that, but I also didn't have an older cousin that I was very comfortable with. She's highly precocious, great sense of humor, cutest kid ever. But is this normal? Should I tell her that it isn't appropriate? I usually just ignore her remarks and start tickling her but I don't know if I should just not say anything to her about it or not... I think part of her fascination maybe due to her mom having had a mastectomy without reconstructive plastic surgery and being small-chested to begin with. So it might be a sensitive subject for her... :/

I used to babysit this 7 year old girl, she used to poke and slap and punch my boobs starting from the second time we met. I was uncomfortable, so I told her not to do that because people don't like that and because it hurts. And that she should never hit anybody anywhere.

Don't worry, your cousin is in that stage where she is curious about a grown woman's body, probably wondering why your body is different than hers when you're both girls. I remembered that stage from my own childhood, wondering what will happen to my body when I grow up.

I think it's normal to be curious, yes. She apparently feels comfortable enough around you to voice her curiosity. Puberty is either happening or coming soon, for her. And as you know, that makes us go a little bonkers and our behavior goes a little haywire for a bit. If she's used to her role models being flat chested, then yes... you having breasts will up her interest anand fascination. Maybe she feels uncomfortable discussing those things with her mother BECAUSE of her mother's experience.
