Ex trying to contact me?

So me and my ex have been broken up for about 7 months. We completely stopped talking for two months, then briefly came back into contact, then completely stopped again. For the past two months, he's been periodically messaging me on Facebook, and after I respond, he doesn't. He recently did it again a few days ago. I don't know if I should ask him why he's been messaging me or if I should just leave it alone?

Without knowing the content of the messages, it will be difficult for anyone here to tell you what he's getting at. That being said, my best guess would be that he messages you only when he's feeling lonely. It seems that people who send messages and don't respond generally don't care much about the other person, or what they have to say. My advice would be to give him the same amount of attention he gives you... In other words, ignore it.

in the messages, he was saying hello, and he asked me for some music once, and that's about the extent of it. and I can see what you mean about not caring much about the other person.

Yes, that's not the kind of thing someone says when they really have an interest in reconnecting. If I were you, I wouldn't give it another thought.

Some people are bad enders , block him on Facebook etc. When it's over it's over and no more responding . ex sounds bad say past partner .
